Time for a Guiness

 

We're known for getting lost in the car. Once in the US my cousin's daughter, who had been in the car with us for 30 minutes, said, "you people turn around  a lot."

But yesterday was at another level. Eric was supposed to take a train home for the weekend but due to a downed powerline every train was getting cancelled. 

It seemed 99% sure his train, the last for the day would get cancelled as well. 

So we got in the car and started the 3 hour drive to Sundsvall, 6 hours round trip. After driving one hour we got the "great news" that his train was neither cancelled nor delayed. We had made it to Gävle. We just had to turn back and drive another hour home.

When we got home Karin said, "That's a Guiness record for U-Turns."
